The Casambi Micro Smart Dimmer can operate with either a two-wire connection without a neutral lead or a three-wire connection with a neutral lead. It features advanced microprocessor control and an algorithm for smart light source detection, along with active power and energy metering functionality. The dimmer includes a soft start function and a minimum dimming level setting function, and is compatible with various types of switches, including momentary, toggle, and three-way. The active element is a semiconductor electronic switch, and the device is designed to be installed in wall switch boxes that meet the applicable installation requirements. The Bypass is an extension unit that supports conventional incandescent, HV halogen light sources, ELV halogen lamps, dimmable LED bulbs (with electronic transformers), MLV halogen lamps (with ferromagnetic transformers), and dimmable compact fluorescent CFL tube lamps, as well as supported dimmable light sources with a power factor greater than 0.5 and a minimum power of 3VA when using the Bypass.
